I still remember the very first time I gave a public performance: I was six years old, and as part of what must have been my school's "multicultural America" presentation, I sang the national anthem (a capella) to a packed room of fellow elementary-school students and camera-wielding parents. I was excited yet terrified, and at the end of it I distinctly remember giving a quick, awkward curtsy before rushing off the stage--but I just as distinctly remember the intense rush of joy and sense of accomplishment that came over me as I stepped down. I was hooked!

I was constantly involved in singing and acting throughout childhood and adolescence, from kids' choir, to theatre camp, to recitals, to high school plays and competitive choir--and then eventually leaping head-first into classical singing. Now, with a Master of Music degree (Voice Performance; Longy School of Music of Bard College), as well as a Bachelor of Music (Voice Performance; Baldwin-Wallace College), I've come a long way from the six-year-old standing with wobbly legs before a microphone. That same rush of joy still comes over me, though, and it's my sincere hope that I can share that joy with an audience!

With a recent transition into the soprano repertoire, I am focusing on using my lightness and warm timbre to bring my own unique interpretations to roles such as Despina (Così fan tutte), Ännchen (Der Freischütz), and Daisy (The Great Gatsby).

When I'm not singing or performing, I am usually teaching voice lessons in the Boston area, or occupying my free time with drawing/digital illustration.
